Poochie Parlour is based in Arbury Court, Cambridge

We are a family run business with mother and daughter being the pet groomers. We pride ourselves in making sure that your beloved pet receives no less that the best possible care and attention during their time with us. Being animal lovers makes our job easy and enjoyable so you can be sure that the atmosphere will make it a pleasurable experience for the animals and owners alike.

Maxine and Chelsey being the mother and daughter team both hold advanced international diplomas in dog grooming, as well as animal first aid, health and safety, and running a business. Chelsey holds an additional National Diploma in animal management.

 We are experienced in all areas of GROOMING including the specialist area of hand stripping. We pride ourselves in specialising in being able to give helpful advice in most of your animals needs.

Maxine and Chelsey opened Poochie Parlour on the 21st July 2008 to the public, after spending well over a year planning, preparing and finishing their ideas and main shop design. Poochie Parlour boasts a unique open plan grooming area, so customers can see their pet being groomed and theirs pets can see outside, for a more relaxing visit.

Poochie are also now qualified to groom Rabbits and Guinea pigs too

Our spare time is taken up with our own pets, let us introduce them to you:

Here we have our dogs Scampy and Lily, Lily is a standard silver Yorkshire Terrier, and Scampy is a Jack Russell X Beagle.

Our latest canine companion is a lovely little Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was left abandoned, we simply couldnt leave her and here she is, her name is Star and she  has fitted in very nicely with Scampy and Lily

Our time is spent with them dog training, flyball, agility, and companion dog shows, where they have many accolades to their bows (or collars).

They are all rescue dogs and we feel lucky that they allow us to live with them.

This is chucky, a mustached parakeet, who will we have had since he was a baby and is very talkative

Rest in Peace

 This is Paulie who is a very cheeky Hahns Macaw. Paulie unfortunately passed away on Saturday 21st March 2009, we all love and miss you Paulie and the house isn't the same without you!

Last of all meet William, our beloved Yorkshire Terrier who passed away on 12th December 2006 aged 17 years. R.I.P William. We all love and miss you.

Poochie Parlour is also a Pet Shop too, we stock many items such as leads, collars, harnesses, toys, treats, shampoo and much more.

Our online retail section is in need of updating and we do plan doing this, but if you have any products you are not sure about, please ask visit the CONTACT US page and get in touch, if we dont have what you want, we maybe be able to order if in for you!

We havent got or online shop up and running yet, becuase we are always trying to get in new stock so we dont order alot of one item, we will keep people updated as to when we get the online shop running properly
